| 2008 Law Enforcement Challenge Application | |||||
|
The GHSO Law Enforcement Challenge is a competition between similar sizes and types of
law enforcement agencies. It recognizes and rewards the best overall traffic safety
programs in Tennessee and throughout the United States. The areas of concentration
include efforts to enforce laws and educate the public about occupant protection,
impaired driving, speeding, and other areas of traffic safety. Departments submit an
application that documents their agency’s efforts and effectiveness in these areas. The
winning safety programs are those that combine officer training, public information and
enforcement to reduce crashes and injuries within their respective jurisdictions. [ More ...] |

| 2008 TN Lifesavers Winners and Law Challenge Award Recipients | |||||
The 2008 Tennessee Lifesaver and Law Enforcement Challenge Awards Ceremony was held in Nashville August 27 - 28, 2008. The awards ceremony honored law enforcement agencies and various partnering agencies across Tennessee. Chief Kim Wallace from the Dover Police Department was the lucky winner when she drew the winning key to the 2008 Dodge Durango. "The "2008 Lead and Live Youth Conference" was a great success!" said Mia Vickers, GHSO Deputy Director. Last November, GHSO invited 200 youth from across the state to attend the Lead and Live Youth Conference.
