Tennessee Highway Safety Office Launches New “Stop Drugged Driving” Campaign
Leonard Family Speaks On Drugged-Driving Crash that Killed Three Family Members in 2015
TENNESSEE – On Wednesday, March 22, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) will be joined by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Tennessee Department of Health, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and other public safety partners for a press event at the Tennessee Tower Plaza to launch the THSO’s new “Stop Drugged Driving” campaign to combat Tennessee’s recent spike in drugged-impaired driving fatalities.
During the event, guest speakers Joey and Tammy Leonard will discuss the 2015 drugged-driving crash that resulted in the deaths of three family members: 19-year-old Kassidy T. Leonard, 20-year-old William D. Griggs, and 12-day-old Kimberlynn Griggs. The driver was convicted on March 7, 2017, of three counts of vehicular homicide by driver intoxication and three counts of reckless vehicular homicide. Press event details are listed below.
