Tennessee to Remember Victims of Impaired Driving Crashes
 

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office will join the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security and representatives from the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police and the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association to remember those who lost their lives due to impaired driving crashes in 2013.  The press event will take place Wednesday, December 3rd at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. 

In 2013, Tennessee lost an estimated 349 lives in impaired driving crashes.  The Governor’s Highway Safety Office works with law enforcement and prevention partners across the state to combat negative driving behaviors to ensure all drivers utilizing Tennessee highways arrive safely at their destinations.  The Governor’s Highway Safety Office wants to remind Tennesseans during the holidays and all year long to make safe driving choices.
