Tennessee Highway Patrol to Announce Special Traffic Safety Initiative for Thanksgiving Holiday
 
NASHVILLE--  The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) will partner with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Governor's Highway Safety Office as well as law enforcement leaders from across the nation, spanning from North Carolina to California. The THP is gearing up for the third annual I-40 Challenge.  Highway Patrol and State Police Offices nationwide have joined Tennessee to enforce traffic laws and promote a safer traveling season during the Thanksgiving holiday.  The announcement will take place at the Carillons at Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park on Friday morning.
