In the first hour, join representatives from three different car seat manufacturers as they share updates on new products and technology. Manufacturers may also provide answers to frequently asked questions and details on customer service programs. Participants will have the opportunity to join in with live Q&A following the presentations, so get your questions ready! Britax - Sarah Tilton Chicco - Courtney Barry Joie - Claire Smith In the second hour, Britney Schroeder (@buckleandlatch) will discuss recalls. The word "recall" often conjures up images of injuries and consumer complaints. Using information from the NHTSA recall database, we'll explore how often a recall is really "stop all use immediately", whether there are always complaints/injuries associated with recalls, and look more closely at the last ten years of child restraint recall data. CPSTs will better understand recall data so they can help educate caregivers when a recall is announced. This session is worth 2 CEUs for CPST recertification.
