This is an ad
vanced course. Students are required to make 80%
on the final exam to receive a certificate of comp
letion.
This course will train law
enforcement officers to observe\, identify\, and a
rticulate the signs of impairment related to drugs
\, alcohol or a combination of both in order to re
duce the number of impaired driving incidents\, se
rious injury\, and fatal crashes.
This cour
se will train other criminal justice professionals
(prosecutors\, toxicologists\, etc.) to:
Understand the signs of impairment related to dru
gs\, alcohol\, or a combination of both.
Enable
them to effectively work with law enforcement in
order to reduce the number of impaired driving inc
idents\, serious injury\, and fatal crashes.
