DESCRIPTION:NOTE: If the attendee is not from the immediate ar
ea\, room and meals will be the responsibility of
the attendee. The Academy will not furnish rooms a
nd meals for this class.\n \n ALERT! Attendee must
furnish a scientific calculator for this course.\
n \n In modern law enforcement departments crash i
nvestigation requirements have developed into more
than report writing and evidence gathering. There
is a constant demand for more in-depth crash inve
stigation to answer the age old question: who was
at fault? This situation requires departments to h
ave personnel with expertise in the higher levels
of crash investigation.\n \n This course is for th
e experienced law enforcement officer\, supervisor
or traffic homicide investigator who has had cras
h investigation training and is proficient in gath
ering evidence at the scene\, measuring\, scale di
agramming and estimating minimum speed from skidma
rks. Upon graduation from this course~ the student
will have advanced to the next level of traffic c
rash investigation and obtained a relatively high
degree of technical expertise in this field.\n \n
Applicants for this course should have successfull
y completed the At-Scene Traffic Investigation (ht
