ADAPT - Advanced Drug Impaired Assessment through Physiology and Toxicology

The students will be officers that have completed advanced training on detecting drug use in drivers, toxicologists that perform the drug testing in traffic cases, and prosecutors who actively prosecute DUI cases. The coursework will focus on what changes are happening in the brain to cause the effects that the officer sees in his evaluation. We will be studying the physiology of the brain, the chemicals and their receptors that are the ultimate cause of the effects of drugs.
