A Crash Course in the Crash Process - How it Happens from Beginning to End

Members of the National Child Passenger Safety Board will walk you through what happens in a crash from the design process to the hospital. The process starts with regulations and how vehicle and car seat manufacturers mitigate crash forces when it comes to designing child restraints and vehicles. Following a crash, emergency vehicles arrive at the scene. The Public Safety-Law Enforcement Representative will provide a deep dive into the evaluation process of the crash, the occupants, and any other factors involved. The Injury Prevention-Healthcare Representative will complete this process by providing insight into what happens once injured occupants arrive at the hospital.
