TENNESSEE HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE LAUNCHES "NO NEED TO SPEED ON 25E AND HWY 33" CAMPAIGN

 

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On Monday, May 18, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), divisions of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, are partnering with Tazewell Police Department and New Tazewell Police Department to announce the "No Need to Speed on 25E and Hwy 33" campaign. During the event, agencies will raise awareness for the upcoming multijurisdictional DUI checkpoint scheduled for Friday, May 22, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Tazewell. Increased traffic enforcement will continue from May 22 to May 24 along the entire route of State Highway 25E and Hwy 33 which runs from the Tennessee/Kentucky state line to Knoxville. This increased enforcement will involve the first and fifth districts of THP, as well as local law enforcement agencies located along this route.
