TENNESSEE HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE REMINDS CITIZENS THAT “FANS DON’T LET FANS DRIVE DRUNK”

Guest Speaker Samantha Russell Advocates Against Drunk Driving with Personal Impact Story

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Friday, February 7, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, divisions of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, are partnering with the Tennessee Titans, the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association, the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police, and Metro Nashville Police Department for a press event to remind citizens that “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk,” ahead of Super Bowl weekend. This year’s event will feature Samantha Russell, formerly known as “Traffic Jam Sam” on Fox 17, to advocate against drunk driving and share her personal impact story. Russell was struck head-on by a drunk driver on New Year’s morning in 2016.
