6-Hour CEU Training for Current Techs

CPS 6-Hour CEU Recertification Training for CURRENT TECHS (6 Credits)

This is a free training for current CPS techs who have maintained their certification. This CEU training meets the content requirements of improving CPS technical knowledge such as LATCH, a child restraint manufacturer workshop or CPS technical update.

You need 6 CEUs to recertify. This training falls under the category of IN-PERSON SESSION WORKSHOP. These are structured presentations/sessions that meet content requirements that have been pre-approved by Safe Kids Certification.

Technicians will receive an event ID number and step by step instructions on how to enter in the CEU information on their profile on the certification website, www.cert.safekids.org. Partial credit will be available if you are able to attend part of the day.

A Community Car Seat Check is scheduled from 2:00 pm - 4: 00 pm to fulfill the community education component for recertification. Instructors will be present to observe seat checks for recertification.

CPST certification is a two (2) year cycle. Once all recertification requirements have been completed, you may be eligible for assistance to pay your recertification fee, please contact Holly Church for more information. hchurch@TNTech.edu
