Jennifer Ramcharan speaks to communities across the state about protecting their finances. She serves as the Insurance Education and Outreach Specialist for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI), which regulates and licenses companies and individuals selling insurance in the State of Tennessee.

Jennifer discusses various insurance-related topics with Tennesseans, including the purpose of having insurance, what to do after being involved in a wreck, and how safe driving not only benefits the health of all drivers on the road, but also saves money on auto insurance. Tennessee has the fifth highest percentage of uninsured motorists in the nation, according to a 2015 study by the Insurance Research Council. Teen drivers are more likely to be involved in car crashes, and therefore are more expensive to insure.

Jennifer was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and is the daughter of a Middle Tennessean and a West Tennessean. A Belmont University alumna, she enjoys traveling to communities across Tennessee and chatting with people of all walks of life.
