National Digital Check Form Orientation

The National Digital Car Seat Check Form is a free resource available to all certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. With close to 200,000 seat checks entered, the data is providing insight to the use and misuse of car seats across the US. During this interactive presentation, we will share the most current NDCF data findings that can shed some light on where caregivers are going wrong and what we can do to drive changes in the field. Learn how to evaluate data to support outreach and educational opportunities to share information on the proper use of car seats, booster seats and seats belts.

Objectives:

Participants will gain improved data literacy through learning how to properly interpret and present the results of the NDCF. They will have a better understanding of how to leverage the valuable data collected and organized in the NDCF to aid in their educational messaging and reporting.

§ Review findings and trends of an in-depth analysis of the NDCF data.

§ Review the data and the data tools, exploring ways to leverage these for educational outreach, reporting, and grants.

§ Examine comparisons of the NDCF data to other national surveys of misuse to provide context to the results.
